it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

We decorated our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving this year. We try to put it up that weekend every year if we can, and it feels so good to have all of the Christmas decor up and done before December officially hit.
Some of our ornaments, love getting them out each year.
Our Elf on the Shelf Snitch arrives every year when we put up our tree. She ended up on the "Love" sign in our kitchen window.
Hadley was so good with all the ornaments, she tried to put a few up and couldn't really get a good grasp on how to put the little hook on the tree. She was gentle though and very patient.
We take turns putting up the angel, we write it down in the little angel box each year so we never forget!
While the boys are putting up the train under the tree, we baked some good old fashioned chocolate chip cookies! Natalie and Hadley loved helping make them.
I love to do different sayings for the seasons on our chalkboard. "Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal" is from one of my favorite Christmas movies Home Alone.
Feels so good that we have the tree up, decorations are out, and stockings are hung. St. Nick is coming this weekend, we didn't have a chance to do it last weekend with all of Brady's crazy homework he had. Love the tree, only thing it's missing is a tree skirt! We threw ours away last year, it was so old and worn. Either going to sew one up, or find one online probably. Either way, it's fine as it is. Love this time of year!
