100 days.

Today marks 100 days of our weight loss journey! Can't believe it's been that many days, but when you are on a journey like this, the number of days surely matter for me at least. Getting started on this weight loss plan was a huge decision and investment for my husband and I. It started out with 44 days of super strict eating. And I mean super strict. Nothing for breakfast, a protein, veggie, and fruit for lunch, and a protein, veggie, and fruit for dinner. That is it. No alcohol, pop, just water, tea, or coffee to drink. It was tough at first, but it got easier. We drank water with minerals in it, and took mineral supplements that were all organic and natural. Once we arrived to the 44 day mark, we had to maintain that weight for 2 weeks.  After the two week mark, we were free to do whatever we wanted. We know what our trigger foods are that makes us gain, and know how to get our weight back down to where we want it. We are continuing to lose weight right now, and it's the best feeling in the world! Well...besides being at the beach and listening to the ocean waves, it's still a pretty good feeling!  I am so glad my husband and I did this together. Doing things together makes it so much easier to do. I'm not sure I would've been able to do this solo.
The before and after photos amaze me. I need to print them out and hang them up around the house to give us constant motivation.
Some days I still feel like the old version of me with all that extra weight I was carrying, but then I look in the mirror and just smile. It's such a good feeling!
One thing that has been a little different is going through this journey with family, friends and coworkers. At work, we have had people that we don't even know come up to us and say the sweetest things. Same with family and friends. We have people text us super nice things, or see us randomly in public, etc. It's so nice and comforting to hear that from people in our lives that support us and are truly happy for us.
And then, you'll have some people who you are close with whether it be family, friends or whomever, that say nothing. Nothing at all. Isn't that weird? I find it so weird! People are the way they are for a reason I guess. We are still the same people on the inside, but with some added self confidence. Just take it with a grain of salt and keep moving forward! I always say, "take care of you!"
Buying new clothes has to be the most exciting part of all of this! We have bought a few new things, but we really need to buy more. Sort of wearing what we currently have because it can cost a pretty penny buying all new clothes!
My husband and I are extremely proud of ourselves. We are constantly supporting each other everyday. It takes a lot of work to be healthier! We plan our meals every single day. You have to or you will not succeed. It takes a lot of planning, and expensive shopping to go through with it. It's crazy expensive to eat healthy! But soo worth it. For those of you trying to lose weight, keep striving towards your goal. I know it can be a challenge, but if you stick with it and take it one day at a time, you can accomplish anything!
