project 18 of 33 : heart garland.

On a roll! And this one is perfect for my February goals and making some Valentines Day crafts! Only 15 more projects....going to try my best to finish.
Let me start out by saying cutting out any kind of shape with any kind of material is time consuming. What I did was pop in a movie and my little scissors had a field day with this project. It's fun though and I enjoy it. With this one, the only supply you might not have on hand is felt. Those are just a few cents at the craft store anyways, so still a cheap easy project to do.
I have a heart shaped magnet that I used to trace all the hearts out on the felt. If you don't have a heart shaped object around the house, you can google a heart shape, print it out, and use that as the tracer. This was the longest part, cutting out tons of hearts in different colors.
I failed on taking photos of sewing all the hearts together. This was my favorite part! I used plain white thread, and laid out all the hearts in color order of how I wanted, and went to town. Had to slowly use the foot pedal and grab each heart one by one.
I had enough hearts to sew two separate pieces of garland, and Miss Natalie noticed them right away. She asked if she could put them in her room after Valentines Day is over lol (I have an idea of some fun garland to make for her birthday in May....she will love it).

In an effort to finish the majority of these projects, this might call for weekend posts, or two in one day. Decisions decisions! Needless to say, it's been a little crafty over at our house lately. I've been on a mission to finish!  Happy Friday and get crafting!
